Safety Pilot Course

If you regularly fly with a partner do you often wonder if they would know what to do in the event of pilot incapacitation? The Safety Pilot Course is the answer. We will take any non-flyer and teach them the very basics of flying, so that if anything should happen, they will be able to bring the aircraft, and you, back to the ground safely.

The course includes 8 hours of flight time, as well as 3 hours of ground school (of which some is completed in the aircraft).Courses take place at Shoreham Airport in south east England.

The course will include subjects such as basic handling (turning, climbing, descending, etc.), navigation, use of the radio, as well as the approach and landing.

We recommend that you should complete the course on the same type as your partner flies. This can be completed on the multi engine aircraft as well, if required.

There are no exams, flight tests, or medical requirements to this course.
