SEP

Flying Time Aviation has the largest and most varied fleet based at Shoreham Airport, and can therefore offer Single Engine Piston (SEP) type conversion courses onto a wide variety of aircraft.

When you complete your PPL you may consider converting onto another aircraft for speed, comfort, space, or just fancy something different. Most check-outs take 2 - 5 hours, or slightly longer if you are converting to Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC). There is also extra ground school tuition available should you require it on all check outs. After your check out we ask that you fly every 28 days on type for currency requirement.

Flying Time SEP Type Conversion Options

Single Engine Piston (SEP) Conversion courses are available for all our single engine Diamond Star DA40 , Piper PA28 , Cessna 172 and 152 aircraft.

In particular the conversion to the Diesel powered (Theilart Centurion 2.0 135hp) Diamond DA 40 FADEC single lever operation is essential.

Conversion courses are based on an "as required" basis but will include full aircraft handling and approach/landing configurations.

Conversion to our Garmin 1000 DA40 aircraft will also require a Garmin G1000™ EFIS Course.
