G-TLET has returned! Our diesel powered PA28 is back in service.

ATPL Ground School

Flying Time has appointed Mr Michael Keable as Chief Ground School Instructor. Our full time ATPL course commences in March 2010 with a competitive price structure. Please contact us for course details. Provisional bookings are being taken now.

New Instructor

Louise Mack has joined us as a flight instructor. Louise already has a number of PPL students and can also instruct on Night and IMC courses.

Low Cost Cessna

New DA40 G1000™

Our 6^th DA40 G1000™ G-CEZR returns to Shoreham at the end of July. The aircraft has very low hours, Garmin 1000, “Stormscope”™ and long range tanks.

This brings our G1000™ fleet up to 3 and will ease up the availability for this popular fantastic aircraft.

Flying Time gains CAA approval for Instrument Rating courses in our new DA42 FNPTII Simulator

Approval has been given for up to 40 hours flight training to be completed in the simulator.

The simulator (installed in May 2009) has been extremely busy with I/R revalidation, G1000™ and Multi engine conversion courses.

PA28 Simulator

A welcome new addition to our “Flight Simulator Centre” is a PA28 Warrior. The simulator has an enhanced graphic system. It’s as near as you can get to the real thing.

The simulator is a highly cost effective rate to practice those circuits and polish up your IMC skills. Rates are as low as £60 per hour Inc vat. Flying has never been this cheap. Give it a try.

Aztec avionics improvements

Our Aztec G-BCCE has had a major avionics refit with the installation of a Garmin 530 GNS/Comm. system. This fantastic 6 seat twin is a great touring aircraft and the new Garmin avionics is a very welcome update.

New ALSIM FNPTII Simulator arrives at Shoreham for Flying Time

Manufactured in Nantes France, the new ALSIM FNPTII simulator arrived at Flying Time's facility at Shoreham Airport.

It is the first systems trainer to be installed in the UK to meet the new JARADCD requirements. Full CAA certification is in progress and the equipment will be in service for the current CPL and IR courses.

In addition to the ALSIM DA42 FNPTII, we will be installing a PA28 Systems Trainer. Produced by Virtual Flight at Billingshurst, the trainer has a full graphics display and will be a useful training aid for practising circuits at Shoreham. So you can perfect your circuits and landings even on cold, wet, non-flying days!
